literally my favorite thing about the ENTIRE MOVIE is thinking about this. bc. okay. there are three avengers who could easily ascend stark tower and reach tony’s apartment and three who’d have to ride along. so did hulk grab steve and tony grab clint and thor grab natasha and all just fly up there with varying degrees of grace? or did they, as a group, walk into the lobby of stark tower and push the elevator button and wait for it to open? did hulk fit? did they shuffle around because they set off the weight alarm? and like, tony and steve go up? and clint and thor? and natasha waits with hulk last because she’s starting to feel real warm toward him? or did they all go up together? silent and exhausted? hulk nodding his head to the muzak?

EVERY POSSIBILITY IS A DELIGHT.

Well Nat was already up there with the stick o’ doom, and Tony’s suit is probably down to its last gasp so let’s say he didn’t have flight capability, so that leaves Thor and Hulk the only ones who COULD scale the tower, so I’m envisioning a little pow-wow on the street outside the lobby where Tony is FINE taking the stairs or whatever, guys, we don’t really need to— Oh, okay, Hulk’s grabbing up me and Steve, urk, um, Thor you got Clint right, holy shit, Tiny, please try not to put anymore holes in my tower, okay?

And Steve’s like, just slung over Hulk’s arm with this long-suffering look and says, “Just let him get it out of his system.” And Tony gives him a pissy, kind of shocked look because who knew Cap had a sense of humor and Steve just hides his grin behind his shield.
